Following the disastrous launch of Version 1.5, Infinity Nikki has been on a long journey to win back its audience. While the Sea of Stars remains bereft of meaningful content, and free-to-play accounts lack the means of obtaining dye currency, the developers seem to be taking steps to address the community's critique of Infinity Nikki's story.
The tone in Blue Tears Season is noticeably darker, and Nikki's character is closer to what franchise veterans have come to expect. Despite many issues still remaining unaddressed, Infinity Nikki players have praised Version 1.7 for being a step in the right direction. Its banners have shown a jump in popularity compared to Fairy's Secret from Version 1.6, but the community's boycott still endures.

Given that Version 1.7 only lasts until July 29, Infinity Nikki players won't have to wait long until the new 4-Stars make their debut. From an appearance standpoint, one of the outfits is a golden dress with cold shoulders, while the other outfit is sleeveless, features torn fabrics, has a misty theme, and comes with a handheld umbrella that can be dyed.
Infinity Nikki Adds Two New Whimsicality Outfits in Second Half of Version 1.7

Version 1.8 is expected to be the next major update for Infinity Nikki, introducing the long-awaited housing system to the game. While some leaks imply that housing will be heavily monetized in Infinity Nikki, it would arguably be a poor choice in reestablishing the goodwill that Infold once had with the game's disgruntled audience. Version 1.7 is beloved by the community, and provided the developers address the other issues created by Version 1.5, Infinity Nikki could see a resurgence by the end of 2025.
