Co-Op Game With ’Overwhelmingly Positive’ Reviews is Coming to PS Plus on July 22

PlayStation Plus subscribers looking for a new co-op game to play should mark July 22 on their calendars. When it comes to the Extra tier of PlayStation Plus, new game additions are typically all added on the same day. However, July 2025 has proven to be an exception to the rule.
The PS Plus Extra July 2025 lineup has already added Cyberpunk 2077 to the mix, allowing subscribers to play through the acclaimed open-world game in its entirety without paying anything more than what they already do for their subscription. Then, on July 25, the next batch of PS Plus Extra games will be added, giving subscribers access to titles like New World: Aeternum and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Then, on July 22, PS Plus Extra subscribers can look forward to the addition of a co-op game that has earned "overwhelmingly positive" reviews during its early access time on Steam.

Free PS Plus Games for July 2025 Are Live Now, But There's a Problem
The PlayStation Plus free games for July 2025 are available now, but subscribers are running into an issue when trying to claim one particular game.
Posts 1Abiotic Factor is a co-op survival game for up to six players that has players exploring a complex full of bizarre discoveries to make and deadly enemies to battle. When is Abiotic Factor Coming to PS Plus?
Close Tuesday, July 22Abiotic Factor has proven to be very popular on Steam, and so it's great to see that it's making its jump to consoles soon. It's even better that Abiotic Factor is going to be featured on the Extra tier of PS Plus, which should ensure that it has a built-in playerbase right from the jump. Abiotic Factor being one of the new PS Plus Extra games for July 2025 means that it should be much easier for players to organize games with their friends, as no one has to commit to outright buying the title.
While it has technically been available on PC since last year, Abiotic Factor is arguably still a day one PS Plus Extra release since it has never been on PS5 before. 2025 has been a strong year for day one games on PS Plus Extra. While they are relatively rare, Abiotic Factor is joining the likes of Blue Prince, a fellow indie that absolutely blew away expectations when it released back in April. Whether Abiotic Factor draws as much attention as Blue Prince remains to be seen, but PS Plus Extra subscribers can try it out for themselves come July 22.
