PostsPlayStation has now announced two Ghost of Yotei PS5 variants, as well as covers that can be used on the PlayStation 5 Slim and the PlayStation 5 Pro, and DualSense controllers. The consoles feature an ink-style painting of Mt. Yotei, an iconic mountain in Hokkaido, as the game is set in a fictional, historical version of the area. The gold version of the console will be available at select retailers and direct from PlayStation, while the black version is exclusive to PlayStation's store.
CloseGhost of Yotei Gets Two PS5 Variants
While the two consoles feature what's essentially the same image, there are some stark differences between them. The Ghost of Yotei Gold Limited Edition Bundle is inspired by kintsugi, a traditional art form in Japan that repairs broken objects with carefully applied gold. It comes with a matching DualSense controller, and a digital copy of the Standard Edition of the game with pre-order content. The Ghost of Yotei Black Limited Edition Bundle is designed based upon the Japanese artstyle of Sumi-e, which is a form of black ink painting. In addition to the image of the mountain on the consoles, the controllers feature an image of Atsu standing in profile with her sword drawn.
For gamers who already own PS5s, two Ghost of Yotei Gold Limited Edition console covers are being sold for both the PlayStation 5 Pro and the PlayStation 5 Slim. Both the black and gold variants of the DualSense controller will be available for purchase separately, as well. The full bundles, covers, and controllers will launch on October 2, with pre-orders opening at some point prior to that. Supplies will be limited, so interested fans will want to keep an eye open for the pre-order window.
