It’s no secret the Jeep Wagoneer is struggling when it comes to sales, so a lifeline of sorts has been thrown. With the two special edition models for the line, we don’t think it will make much of a difference. Maybe Stellantis and Jeep are thinking otherwise, but we believe the Wagoneer’s problems run much deeper.
Nissan recalls over 480,000 vehicles for failing engines.
In the first half of 2025, Jeep sold just over 13,000 Wagoneers. That’s not great. Even though the brand was struggling in 2024, for the first half of the year it moved just under 30,000 of them. Yikes.
To the rescue rids the Wagoneer Limited and Wagoneer Super. Perhaps Jeep thinks people are going to get really worked up over these?

The Jeep Wagoneer Limited is being positioned as something for the budget-conscious shoppers looking at full-size SUVs. Just keep in mind since that’s the market position it has a base MSRP of $76,535.
And that right there is the main problem with the Wagoneer line.
For the same money, you can buy some pretty impressive SUVs. That’s even more the case with the Grand Wagoneer. Jeep was wanting to woo the Range Rover crowd without realizing why people buy the British off-roaders.
So you know, among the extra equipment that comes standard on the Wagoneer Limited is power side steps, unique 22-inch wheels, power-folding second- and third-row seats, 360-degree camera, and a tri-pane sunroof.
Really neat, huh? We don’t think shoppers for the most part will agree.
But wait, for the hard-to-please shoppers, there’s the Wagoneer Super. Jeep says it’s “elevated and upscale, without a luxury price tag.” It starts at $82,535. Now we know new car prices are outrageous, but last time we checked, that’s a luxury price.
Anyway, for that you also get 22-inch black aluminum wheels, a two-tone black roof, Carbide headlights, black trim, McIntosh 19-speaker sound system, and a “premium soft-touch wrapped finish” for the interior.
It’s like Jeep and Stellantis just haven’t learned why people are choosing to not buy the Wagoneer.
