Trap Pond State Park in Laurel is No. 10 on the list. The Dyrt highlights the campground’s unique location, the state’s only naturally occurring bald cypress forest, and the numerous activities available for visitors on the grounds.
Campers can choose from 142 campsites under loblolly pines, including water and electric hookups, primitive tent sites, yurts, and climate-controlled cabins. After setting up their new homes, visitors can trek across 12 miles of multi-use trails for a day of birdwatching, hiking or biking. Families can enjoy the picnic pavilions, playground, disc golf course and Baldcypress Nature Center.

Have a furry friend in tow? They can enjoy the park, too.
