YouTuber MrBeast eyes X CEO role, Musk didn't rule out originally appeared on TheStreet.
After a two-year stint as the X CEO, Linda Yaccarino quit the position on July 9. During her time at X, the platform recently partnered with the crypto-based prediction market, Polymarket.
The social media platform, known as Twitter before its takeover by billionaire Elon Musk, is home to one of the most lively crypto communities in the world.
We don't know who will take over the CEO's position at X, and there is a lot of wild speculation going on.
MrBeast, the most-followed YouTuber with over 412 million subscribers, was quick to remind the X community about his eagerness to lead X.
MrBeast asked, "Sooooo, is now my time?"
The billionaire YouTuber was referring to his earlier post from December 2022 when he wished to take over as Musk hinted at resigning from the CEO role.
"It’s not out of the question," was Musk's response.

Michael Saylor, the co-founder of the Bitcoin treasury company Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR), had then asked the X community to vote on MrBeast's candidacy as the X CEO.
An overwhelming 79.2% of the respondents had voted yes.
But it didn't come to that, and Yaccarino took over the reins of the social media platform in June 2023.
Even now, the prospects of MrBeast are rather low, as traders on Polymarket are not at all confident about him taking over as X CEO.
Polymarket is the world’s largest prediction market that lets investors place bets using cryptocurrency.
Only 3% of traders have bet on the YouTuber's chances so far, with nearly 25% of them betting on Musk to again take over as CEO.
