The upcoming change to Final Fantasy 14 will affect several users, as Windows 10 continues to be the second-most-used OS in Microsoft's repertoire as of this writing. However, Windows 11 currently holds the largest market share of Microsoft OS users at 51.36%, with Windows 10 not far behind at 45.57%. While Windows 10 will no longer receive mainstream feature updates starting this fall, users can enroll in an extended security update program for free by signing in to a Microsoft account and syncing their PC's settings.

Ergo, users will need at least a six-core CPU from 2017 or later at the minimum to play the game on Windows 11. The other PC spec requirements required to play Final Fantasy 14 are unchanged.
The end of Windows 10 support will likely be brought up by Square Enix during the upcoming Letter From The Producer LIVE broadcast on July 24. Only time will tell how many Final Fantasy 14 players will make changes by the October 14 deadline.
