New season of Netflix anthology series to be based on Mass. crime story

The new season of Netflix’s crime anthology series “Monster” is reportedly going to be based on the story of Fall River’s Lizzie Borden, according to Variety.
Although the show has not been officially renewed for a fourth season by Netflix, the show is aiming for a “potential fall shoot,” Variety writes.
In 1892, Lizzie Borden was accused of murdering her father, Andrew, and stepmother, Abby, with an axe in their Fall River home on 230 Second Street.

“Monster,” created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, is a true-crime series that depicts the stories behind real-life killers. The first season told the story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, while the second season focused on Erik and Lyle Menendez. A third season based on serial killer Ed Gein is currently in production and expected to be released in late 2025, according to Newsweek.
