No one likes it when a vacation ends. We want those fun-filled days of frolicking at the theme park, in the mountains or on the beach to last forever. But alas, the day comes when we have to get back to our regular routine.
This Golden Retriever was on his way home from a trip to Lake Tahoe and definitely had feelings about leaving the relaxing resort area.
In the TikTok from @itmeham, the gorgeous Golden sat in the backseat of the car looking extremely forlorn. Head down and eyes closed, the dejected dog couldn't look more downcast.

He looked up at one point, only to shoot a sad look at his parents, blink a few times, then go back to lamenting.
"We're gonna come back, buddy," his dad said as he tried to console the canine.
"Don't be sad," his mom chimed in, attempting to cheer up the pup.
It's hard to tell from the video if this was just a day trip or a week-long excursion, but regardless, the dog didn't want to leave the luminous lake.

Traveling with pets is very common these days. Pet-friendly hotels and other vacation establishments have made bringing our pups along much more accessible.

Get them familiarized with their new surroundings by letting them sniff the hotel room or rented home and explore the territory.
Many dogs love the great outdoors, whether it's the mountains or the beach. Check your pup for ticks when you're in dense wooded areas and be sure to rinse them off after they've been in river or seawater.
Our canine cuties love to experience new things with their parents, and that includes vacation. The next time you bring your precious pooch on holiday, remember to be extra sensitive if they have a hard time seeing it come to an end.
Hopefully this Golden Retriever recovered by the time he got home.
