Avengers: Secret Wars Return Unlikely for X-Men Star But Not Due to DCU Role
Nicholas Hoult, the current Lex Luthor of the DC Universe, recently opened up about the odds of him appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars.
What did Nicholas Hoult say about a potential Avengers: Secret Wars appearance?
During a recent video for Vanity Fair alongside David Corenswet in which the pair were hooked up to a lie detector, Hoult was asked if being cast as Lex Luthor lowered his chances of appearing in 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars.
Hoult said no, and then jokingly said he didn’t think he had a “high chance” of being cast in the movie anyway. Hoult also praised Kelsey Grammer, who played Beast in the original X-Men live-action films and is reprising his role in Avengers: Doomsday, as being the best Beast.
Although little is known about Secret Wars, the film will connect to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. The cast for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday is going to be massive. Several major stars from the MCU have been confirmed to be in the movie, including Chris Hemsworth’s Thor,Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman/Sue Storm,Anthony Mackie’s Captain America,Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier,Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, andPaul Rudd’s Ant-Man.
