The legendary Ram 1500 TRX may be gone, but one Atlanta-based tuner has built a version so powerful it makes the factory Hellcat-powered truck look tame. Road Show International has listed a heavily modified “RS Edition” TRX boasting a staggering 1,550 horsepower — more than double the output of the original 702-hp supercharged V8.

The RS Edition was designed for buyers who feel the recently introduced Ram 1500 RHO’s 540-hp inline-six is underwhelming compared to the V8-powered TRX. Using its RS Performance Package, Road Show International rebuilt the 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 with upgraded internals from BES/HHP, bolted on a larger supercharger with a dedicated cold-air intake, and installed higher-capacity fuel injectors and pumps. The result? A truck that accelerates from zero to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 145 mph — eclipsing even the Hennessey Mammoth 1000.
For comparison, the stock TRX hits 60 mph in 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 118 mph. Even the Mammoth, with its 1,012 hp, manages “only” 3.2 seconds to 60. This makes the RS Edition one of the fastest — and most powerful — pickup trucks ever built.

Despite its extreme performance, the TRX RS Edition retains much of the original’s factory look, making it a true sleeper by super truck standards. Subtle changes such as gloss-black trim and smoked lighting hint at its upgraded performance without making it overly flashy.

The TRX’s demise was part of Stellantis’ shift toward electrification and smaller-displacement turbocharged engines, making builds like the RS Edition even more desirable to enthusiasts craving V8 power. While Ram hasn’t confirmed if the TRX will return, trucks like this prove that high-horsepower performance still has a market.
